Stealing is not good, but I encourage you to steal these budget hacks from me.
1. Don’t let your credit card balance exceed your checking account balance. This is an easy tip to ensure your spending does not go above your earnings. Review your balances weekly to keep them in check.
2. If you have multiple big purchases on the horizon, spread them out over separate paychecks. For example, the Christmas season is coming up which means gift giving but you have also been wanting to buy an air purifier for your home. Spread the expenses so that you buy the Christmas gifts first and the air purifier after the holidays. This ensures your spending is not concentrated in one small period of time.
3. Automate your savings. My 401k contributions are automatically deducted from each paycheck and I also have a certain amount every month that transfers from checking to savings. This way you do not have to think about saving money each paycheck before something else tries to take priority over it 💸.
MMM tip: Pick one of the tips above to implement in your finances. And share, share, share this newsletter!
Until next week!
